How to join IEEE GRSS Poland Chapter?
1. Become an IEEE member:
To join IEEE GRSS Poland Chapter, you first need to join IEEE. This requires registering on the IEEE website, available at this link.
During registration, select the membership status that matches your current career stage (Professional, Graduate Student, Undergraduate Student). IEEE membership is paid, and the amount of the dues depends on your status. IEEE membership dues for Poland for the 2027 membership year (as of October 2026) are:
- Professional: US$197 per year;
- Graduate Student (doctoral student): US$27 per year;
- Undergraduate Student (bachelor’s or master’s student): US$27 per year.
2. Join the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS):
Once you have successfully registered with IEEE, go to the society membership catalog. Select the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) and pay the additional annual membership fee. GRSS membership dues for the 2027 membership year are:
- Essential package (electronic access to GRSS journals and resources): IEEE members US$15, students US$1;
- Preferred package (adds the printed IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine): IEEE members US$45, students US$15.
Applications submitted between March 1 and August 15 cover membership only until the end of the year, so IEEE and GRSS dues are halved during that period.
3. Register with IEEE GRSS Poland Chapter:
After joining both IEEE and GRSS, the final step is to fill in the registration form. Once it has been submitted, the GRSS Poland officers will contact you to confirm your membership and provide further information.
